BENJAMIN MOORE PAINTS PRESENTS “CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT” AT THE FONDA SPEEDWAY THIS SATURDAY, AUGUST 10

Fonda, NY – It all comes down to this! On Saturday, August 10 a special racing program sponsored by Benjamin Moore Paints will take place at the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway called “Championship Night”.
The 2024 Track Champions for the 73rd season of competition at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds track will be crowned in all regular divisions this Saturday including the Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, the Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman, the Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stocks, the Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman, and the Fonda Fair Four Cylinders, both single and dual cam.
The history of the Fonda Speedway makes it a special place to win a Track Championship, and it is a prestigious award honoring car owners, sponsors, drivers, and crew members who have worked hard all season long to achieve this goal.
The Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS) will be making their fourth appearance of the 2024 season at the "Track of Champions" this Saturday and will be crowning five champions this Saturday night. Three features will decide who will be crowned the 2024 Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series (MVVDMS) champions that will be settled in all five of their divisions.
The five MVVDMS division champions that will be decided this Saturday include the Antique, Mystique, Late Model, Sportsman, and Modified Divisions.
The Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series will start their evening off at the historic Fonda Speedway Hall of Fame & Museum with the series displaying their beautiful cars that represents the many eras of our racings past for the fan to enjoy early at the "Track Of Champions". The MVVDMS Museum show starts at 2:00
Many cash bonus will be handed out to the MVVDMS competitors including tow money to the dedicated drivers from the MVVDMS series sponsors and family, and friends of Blanchard and Gorden. Two Icons will be honored, one a long time runner at the Fonda Speedway, Frank Blanchard, and MVVDMS campaigner Tex Gorden for a special memorial event.
Gates will open at 4:00 p.m. with hot laps at 6:00 p.m. and racing at 7:00 p.m.
The top five drivers going into the final night of points for the 2024 season at Fonda in each of the regular divisions are as follows (taken from the My Race Pass website) with wins, top fives, and top tens in parenthesis:

If you are a race fan that gets to the track early, be sure to check out the Fonda Speedway Museum & Hall of Fame which is located on the Fonda Fairgrounds at the rear of the parking area going down towards turn four. The museum is open from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on race days and admission is free!
All races at Fonda Speedway – will be broadcast live on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the $150 annual subscription.
Since 1953, the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
